Overview:

Delegates will explore the diagnosis, treatment planning and management of challenging restorative cases, including painful and sensitive teeth, cracked teeth, severely compromised incisors, advanced root overlays, open posterior contacts and common smile-design problems, as well as the replacement of existing Bioclear restorations.

This comprehensive 2-day course focuses on conservative, patient-centred treatment planning and predictable clinical problem solving. Through hands-on training using lifelike soft-tissue models, delegates will practise a range of advanced restorative techniques, with each practical providing a structured, step-by-step solution to specific clinical challenges beyond those covered in the four-day Bioclear Core curriculum. These include:

  • Open posterior contacts & posterior diastemas – predictable contact closure without unnecessary tooth preparation
  • Cracked teeth – in-depth diagnosis, treatment planning and restorative management
  • Fractured premolar cusps – conservative management and restoration
  • Full snap-off incisor cases – assessing and restoring severely compromised anterior teeth using Bioclear
  • Advanced root overlays – next-level techniques for fractured and structurally compromised teeth
  • Replacing existing Bioclear restorations – controlled composite removal, preparation and replacement
  • Smile-design problem solving – identifying common mistakes in Bioclear cases and applying a structured recipe for predictable success

Using HeatSync heaters, 3M™ Filtek™ One Bulk Fill and Kuraray CLEARFIL MAJESTY™ composites, together with a wide selection of Bioclear matrices, delegates will develop the practical skills and confidence to tackle complex restorative challenges and achieve predictable, high-quality clinical outcomes.

Learning Aims, Objective and anticipated outcomes:

On completion of this course, delegates will be able to:

  •        Apply a structured Bioclear approach to the assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning of complex restorative cases.
  •          Select conservative, patient-centred treatment strategies based on clinical findings, case complexity and limitations.
  •         Assess and manage cracked, painful and sensitive teeth using appropriate restorative strategies.
  •         Evaluate the restorability of severely compromised incisors and select appropriate advanced Bioclear techniques.
  •          Apply a structured approach to the removal and replacement of existing Bioclear restorations while preserving healthy tooth structure.
  •          Identify and troubleshoot common problems in complex Bioclear and smile-design cases.
  •        Integrate advanced Bioclear techniques and problem-solving principles confidently into everyday restorative practice.
